Andrew Brownlee's wants to Follow in the footsteps of Che Guevara..

One year ago, a 23 year old kid from Victoria named Andrew Brownlee watched The Motorcycle
Diaries, chronicling the story of a young Che Guevara.  As the movie goes, Che and his friend
Alberto Granado take off through the hills and jungles of South America on a journey to
discover themselves and the world around them. Brownlee appreciated this lust for discovery
and made it a personal goal to one day follow in Che and Granado's tracks.

After much hard work, he is now realizing that dream. “I’ve been dieing to follow in Che´s
tracks,” he tells us from a coconut phone somewhere in South America, “now here I am!”
Brownlee is part of a 5 man team (of which Duncan is also a part) that is bringing soccer
equipment down to kids in Ecuador. Working his friends he’s been able to bring sport
supplies to 1000s of children who have grown up playing in bare feet with balls of leaves.
After months of preparation they now roam through Equador building pitches and handing
out cleets and balls. Learn more about the project @ http://projectecuador.blogspot.com/

With a two week break waiting for customs to clear, Brownlee finally got his chance to
take off through the foothills of active volcanoes and lush South American jungles. With
a rented 90cc motorbike (see above) he is trekking through new terrain to explore and
learn about life in South America. He will soon return to the pack and continue with the
mission to share sport with the people of Chimborazo.

The entire project is being documented and video-journal entries will appear when the
crew has time to get online and share their stories. One entry is available here:

Keep it up guys!
