Ryan called me 6 months ago and said he may be able to help us with #68 on the list, Swim with Sharks. I said, ‘No’.
(I’m kidding).
I asked him a bit about himself and learned that he was currently working very hard to rebuild his sailboat which had been ripped apart by Hurricane Wilma. Prior to the hurricane, Ryan and his wife had spent a year fixing up the boat but after the hurricane he was forced to start again from scratch, this time with little funds. The reason he was so anxious to get his sailboat on the water was his son. His dream was to take his son Kyuss sailing around the world before he reaches the age he is to begin kindergarten. He wants to expose his Kyuss to as many experiences around the world as possible before he begins school… sounded pretty cool.
The only way I could think of helping (due to our offshore account recently being frozen) was to ask him to make a short video so we could share it with you. Here it is:
