5 people contract AIDS every hour in Africa
Every 14 seconds, a child loses a parent to AIDS
By 2010 there will be approximately 18,000,000 AIDS orphans in Africa
Are we going to let this trend continue?
In honour of World AIDS Day, we were honored to have renowned AIDS activist Peggy Frank as a guest on our Friday Radio Show. Peggy, an artist in British Columbia living with HIV, is the Executive Director of Positively Africa and has made a huge difference on the ground in Africa. She joined us to talk about the current situation in Africa, about how youth have the power to change it, and explained how her answer to the question ‘What do you want to do before you die?’ changed after she contracted HIV.
Our second radio show segment went great. Brad Tiemann (Director of Sunset, Circle, & The Buried Life) and Peggy Frank (Renowned AIDS Activist)
