  • awesome website guys. love seeing what youve done!!! i want to go on a hot air balloon ride!

    Brad Henke

  • Albuquerque’s 2007 International Hot Air Ballon Fiesta happens in October. 1000 hot air balloons in the New Mexico sky at one time! You should add it to your agenda. I even know someone who is getting married in ABQ that week. You could cross off two items on your list at one time. http://www.balloonfiesta.com

  • Wow.You totally inspire me. As I’ve just turned 50, I am asking myself this question alot. What do I want to do with the next 50 (God willing) years?

One of my dreams has been to publish my own magazine, and I do. AS IF Magazine, (www.asifmagazine.com) is an online “place” where we feature all the things I love–including a section called LIVING AS IF, in which we feature people who are living AS IF anything were possible.I would love to feature you there–who knows, maybe Ellen will read the story in AS IF!

I’d also like to invite you to my blog at amyoscar.blogspot.com, where I am posting a question of my own:
What would you do with 330 million dollars? based on the recent prize in the national Mega Millions lottery.
My question, like yours, asks people to consider what they would do if there were no limit to their time, money, health, relationships…. What projects would they start? What people would they want to meet–and to become?

Good luck with your project and I hope to hear from you.

    Amy Oscar

  • I saw your video clip on a post from Dr. Zogs Sex Wax myspace page and was inspired and came by your website to see what I could do. I am not sure you want to learn with me as I am sure you may find that surf lesson from someone famous or at a more exotic and warmer place but I am hoping for you all to succeed in your endeavors. There are a couple of things that I will be thinking about since I have seen this and I think its fantastic how this is spreading such good vibes. Good luck guys.

  • Love what you’re doing!

Can I help with number 49?

  • I’d quite like to see a return to a world in which people didn’t equate doing good with behaving in a self-indulgent manner. But I doubt I’ll see it.

Also, I’d love to understand why my best friend perjured herself to make a malicious false accusation of sexual misconduct against me. This is a dream which has haunted me for 20 years now. It too is unlikely to happen, but it’s a timely reminder that not all dreams are warm and fuzzy and make marketable TV.

  • I am so delighted to see someone do what you’re doing, that I cannot resist also throwing an offer in your direction. If you find yourself back in the vicinity of the lower mainland BC between early January and late March, I can help you with #67. I am a university professor and the class you could present your speech at would have 170 students. Come to think of it, you might be able to cover off #26 at the same time, if I invite a judge to join us.

    Carpe diem,
    Liz

  • Hi guys. I just read about you in the Vancouver Sun and checked out your list. I can help with #76 and #87. I’m an elementary teacher in Richmond, BC. At the end of your tour, your speech would inspire our 550 students to reach for their dreams. We would be thrilled to have you visit the school. Please would you teach my class of 30 grade 6 students, who are looking for good role models?
    Let me know, :) Sarah

  • Its amazing, what you guys are doing…Sure I’ll email Ellen! And some of my goals (go into space-its SO hard I almost gave up until I saw ur website-fall in love, jump off a waterfall, teach an elementary school class, experience zer gracity-the space thing and LOTS more) coincide with yours and I only hope I can cancel them out too someday!

    Sharanya

  • What a good way to start off a routine day; get off the train and pick up a newspaper that has an article about you guys in it. How truly inspiring. I have a list myself that I started to compile some time ago. I believe there are so many people out there that have big dreams and never manage to get out of their own way in order to accomplish them. I’m striving towards accomplishing my dreams just like you and its kinda oddly comforting to know that other average people have BIG goals to work towards. I wish all of you the very best of luck.
PS. When you’re successful in achieving your arts/entertainment dreams, I’d love to read or hear about how you made it/them happen.
PS2. If you’re in vegas now and you want to skydive, go to vegas extreme skydiving.com. Its actually in Jean (40 min outside the city) but the guys there make it memorable and SOOO FUN!! Just a heads up..its tandem but still an INSANE thrill. Did it in May of this year and would recommend to anyone.

    Jaymi

  • I might be able to help you ride a bull this week actually. Call me 831-419-7075 I have to check with the crew but I know KDON 102.5 The Morning Madhouse’s boy Toy Bobby is riding a bull as a promotion in a PBR event in Hollister. Email me or call me.

  • Hey guys. So I think what you guys are doing is really cool and me and my friends would love it if you could come to our school. We are in B.C. and I know you guys are doing a U.S. tour, but maybe you could make an exception? Our school is in Hope B.C. It’s a really small little town, but it’s great. Our school is called Hope Secondary School and the class that we would love for you to visit is planning 10, block 2, I know that sounds completely lame, but it would be awesome if you guys could come and talk to us! • LOVE everything about this idea. I wish I could join you guys. Finally people with a real idea of what LIFE should be.

    LokiCupcake

  • #13. My retired father leads a crew at one of Habitat for Humanity’s outposts in Florida. He could teach you how to build a house, and provide the house for you to build.

    Kimberly

  • Heard about you through Jan. Haven’t seen much PR for you in the southeast, but I’ll e:mail your website to everyone I know out here and maybe that’ll help – just a little – to get a bit more recognition out this way. What you’re doing should be shared with everyone!

My father use to say ‘when I retire, I’ll…’, or ‘when I win the lottery, I’ll…’. Then at age 62 he died alone in the shower from a heart attack. He never did any of his ‘when I’ wishes.

Because of that, and with the suggestion of a friend, I have a “20 Things To Do Before I Die” list. When I complete something on my list, I cross it off and add something in it’s place – making it never ending.

Thanks for reminding us just how much there is to do in life! D

    Debbie

  • Hey guys its good to see someone living the dream. I dont know who wanted to start the idea but I know that in every Bachelors heart of hearts they wish they could be like you.

  • Wow! I remember some of you fellows from when I was a teacher at Monterey. Saw your bus today and am checking out the site. Amazing. I am going to show to my own sons and pass on the site to friends. Be proud, you are an inspiration and a breath of fresh air.

    Jane Chadwick

  • You guys are an inspiration to me & my sons. What a great idea. During my high school years our principle brou8ght in a guy like you guys who was only in his mid thirties & had done almost 80 or so of his 100 list. He was still trying to to go to the moon, etc. That has always inspired me. Great job. What a purposeful life!

  • #13 have you tried to contact Ty Pennington from ABC. They build a house for a stranger in a week and last I knew of they are always looking for volunteers. I believe the best way to find out would be to Log onto ABC.com and search Extreme makeover home edition. Also There are Habitat for Humanity projects going on all over the place and your time might be considered making a large donation to charity. If you come to Oregon I’ll be the stranger and my fiance and I will take you out to dinner. Luke

  • WOW u all have amazing ambitions! I hope you acheive it all! Im rootin 4 yah! God bless and watch over you all! and let it all come true! :)

    Blondie

  • This is a great thing that you are doing. My students are going to create a list of all the things they wished to accomplish before they die now. We all need to think about all that life is and all it has to offer each of us. There is no reason to procrastinate in this lifetime. We only get one go-round here, so we need to make the most of it.

    Kyle

  • i think wat u r doin is cool

  • Hey Guys, You could do #62 pretty easily in the Boston Commons they’re protests there every week, and tehy have great donuts. I like the idea but what will you do when you run out of items on the list? You guys inspire others to do crazy things before they die and i think thats pretty sweet. Personally, i want to live in a hippy commune for a year and beat all three supper mario brothers back to back. :)

  • Awesome progress guys! You should set up a facebook quiz that others can access. Spread the word! I’m afraid that I can’t help you much unless you wanna come over to Scotland. Let me know if you do! You could represent Canada at a Highland games here in Scotland? It’s easier than learning to play Rugby or Cricket!

    Good Luck!

  • Hi Guys! This is awsome. I just want to say that I’m a regular guy too. I’ve done a lot on my list already. I’ve basically rebuilt my house from the ground up, sorry if I had known three yeards ago I would have invited you to help. I’ve become a father. I overcame my fear of going out in public once, fully dressed as woman. What a rush! Who said life has to boring.

  • I have been romantically challenged for quite some time now and believe it is because of my infatuation with Rob Thomas of Matchbox 20. He’s simply set the bar too high for anyone else to measure up. Please bring him to me…I need closure, and meeting him (outside of stalking his concerts) may be enough to cure me. It’s also on my list ;-)

    itai

  • I’ve asked this question alot. And I know there are many things I won’t be able to do in life but I saw you had “be in a hollywood movie” and that hit me deeply. Before I die I want to create a film, or documentary, that changes people’s view on what they understand about the world. If a newspaper can effect politics I want a film that can effect the world. You guys keep on doing what your doing. So far your closer to my dream than me. Rock on!

    Nick

  • I think it’s great that you guys have the tenacity to pursue your dreams. I just wish that more of the list was focused on helping others and making the world a better place instead of shallow, mindless indulgences. I hope as time passes you’ll add more entries on helping other people. Use this list to change the world! Exchange the Playboy Mansion with helping the homeless, jumping off a waterfall with purifying and ensuring safe water in third-world countries, etc. The power is in your hands.

    Andrea

  • If you come to Avon, Indiana I’ll totally teach you how to play the flute! :) (#23)

But, hell! I’ll join you for the Playboy campout!!

You guys are wicked. Rock on.

  • Wow what an amazing experience, I started living my life like that many years ago and have had some fabulous experiences and unbelievable stories. My wife and I get out and travel about 6 times a year to new places and are getting our lives in order to be able to start taking 4 to 5 months off each winter and go sailing to various parts of the world. I wish you all the best in your adventures and will check back here often to see how many of them you have achieved.

For item number 34 look close when you are at the store and sooner or later you will find a person that truly needs the help. As for #54 and #58 swing into Traverse City Michigan and I will be happy to assist you.

  • I’m a little disconcerted about #58 – See a dead body.

This is not something to take lightly.

In the summer of 2007, I got shock – my friend David (Dae Hoo) was dead. David was an active member of Toronto’s West Coast Swing dance community. He was 26. Just under 20 members of the dance community (including myself) attended his funeral – much to the surprise of his family, who did not realise how important their son was to us.

It was open casket. I had only just danced with the boy a week earlier. Now all I had was dancer in funereal makeup wearing a suit in a satin lined box.

So before you go view a body – you may want to ask what purpose the action serves.

    Kristine Maitland

  • Hey
I just want you guys to know that what you are doing is amazing. I’ve recently read “Maiden Voyage” by Tania Aebi, and it has inspired me to sail across the world. I might be young, but I’ve been thinking a lot lately. Do I want to follow the crowd and go to college? Or should I choose the happy life and sail places, never staying in one place for too long?
    = /
I don’t think I could possibly be happy going to college and holding down a job in one place. I know it isn’t SUPPOSED to be fun or exciting, but I want MORE out of life, and I can’t get that sitting around in one place, can I?

    Good luck, friends!

    Leah

  • #54 is easy. Call the Red Cross and ask when/ where on the next blood drive. Arrange a ride home if you pass out- the highest number of people don’t- and don’t be a squink about needles. You ARE saving a life.

  • I came across your website a little over a year ago…..and it has inspired me since! I’m crossing off another one of my must-do’s tomorrow: running a marathon! Thanks for the inspiration.

Keep up the great work and continue to inspire the world!

  • Hey Guys! I found you on youtube and I think it’s awesome what you are doing. I’m a naturally shy and nervous person, but since crossing off one of my goals three months ago (Go to Mexico), I’ve grown a lot and embraced the idea of trying new things.
I thank you for inspiring me a ton. I have completed three of my goals and I currently have 20 goals and 4/5 of a goal to go. And I’m always adding more. :)
    Thanks again! God bless you!

  • Hey guys,
I’ve been in the Air Force for 20yrs and I love your idea and have learned over the last year with the death of my sister that life is short and you can’t take it for granted even though we do. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help you. I do not have an answer to the “what would you do question” or why I even came across your site. I just happened to find it and wanted to know more. I just want my family to be as stress free and as happy as they can be. Good Luck with your jorney and God Bless You.

    Tan

  • Number 19. Write a book.

I may be a able to help you guys with that. I’ve been writing a LOT lately. About life, mostly about teens though, growing up, realizing things about life. I’ve written some pretty personal things down. I was hoping to be able to make it a book. It would mean the world to me if I could write something, and publish something millions of people would read and appreaciate. I really want to get to people, and try to make a difference. I’m great at writing, so I thought that it would be a great start. I was pretty depressed lately though, I was actually put in and out of a mental hospital three times, for attempted suicide..I was ready to give up on writing..I had given up on everything else. But I met some people that helped me turn around. And i’m glad I found you guys. It only pushes me even more to keep doing what i’m doing. Maybe i’ll make my own list, and set out to accomplish it. (:

But anyways, if you would like to, if and when I finish writing it, you can use it to cross off number ninteen (:
    Just e-mail me.

    Megan aka Sparky

  • ‘Meet the Lonely Island dudes’ – YES!! When that happens, make sure its being filmed – you guys + them = awesometown.

I’m a big fan of lifelists and love hearing about what people plan on doing.. Good luck with everything!!

    Bella

  • Thank you all so much for pushing this idea and philosophy of life forward into the public eye. Too many people languish in mediocrity and put off chasing their dreams until it’s too late. Some of your ideas are hilarious, others maybe a little unrealistic but the list itself is completely inspirational. Good luck in all that you do and God Bless.

And as far as #62 goes, I’m sure there will be several groups protesting outside of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota (September 1st-4th) and the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado (August 25th-28th). Maybe you could join in with whichever group/cause you feel like supporting there. Again, best of luck to you all in following your dreams.

    KDBryan

  • I’m 18 and feel as if I’ve been just standing round waiting for life to begin you guys have given me the inspiration to get out there and start it XD

  • i was just commenting your youtube video and came here why dont you sell your Tshirts for like 5 bucks or something and then the money you collect you can donate it to charity and that would cross off number 30? like sell them for a year then donate the money, i dont know maybe its hard, but just a thought
and i really am emailing ellen now to tell her to get you guys on the show! haha i would love to see that episode.

    nikki Dancer

  • come to Italy, guys!!

    Thea

  • What a list. I looked at this by mistake thinking it was one big joke on youtube and found you uys! Wow you have come a long way nd stil has a way to go. Well I don’t blame you on the dancing with Ellen thing I watch taht show and if I had the chance I would do it to. I still have many years of live to go and if I had to choose now, because I would die tomorrow, I would want to for a day be in a huge animal rescque (a little more then what duncan did when he pulled his cat out of the tree). And take part at visiting and ready to unheathly kids in the hospital. What you guys are doing is great and I give my preys to you guys for a save journey and get that list finish. I believe if you can get it finished they might put you in the book for world records!…. oh and one more stange thing I want to do would maybe break a limp…… Besdies a hip.. Lol. Your an inspireation. Thanks.

  • What a cool thing you are doing! What could be better than living your dream? I just linked on to this site today, and
I was hooked! I love the concept & content! I too have a mental “list”… some of the items I could cross off with a bold sharpie & some more are still calling my name.
My brother once told me if you don’t follow your dreams they are just like a big pile of shit…just sitting there, waiting to be scooped up & thrown away! A little gross, but I got the message! Good Luck Guys! I’m inspired & impressed. Perhaps I’ll put my pen to the paper & write my list…then I’ll share it with you. Also somehow I got this blurb about what would you do with 340 million…I’m just the one to reply to that! I’ve always known I’d be a great rich person & my generosity could change alot of lives & it would thrill me to my soul to be able to make these dreams of mine come true! I hope to be in touch with you in the future! May the force be with you! chall in Michigan

  • By accident I saw your link on Youtube, today,
just 2 weeks after some friends and I created our own list of things to do before we die, we started ‘googling’ around for other people’s lists: 1000 places to visit… things to eat etc. So to get an idea what to ‘put on black and white’. After seeing your list I am only more excited and committed to do ours and make life what You want it to be (wonderful, exciting) and to do what you want and with whom you care for.
Thanks and good luck with the rest of your list
Perhaps we’ll start our own site… well maybe someday.

  • Hi.
Hope you can handle a negative comment also.
The jobs you’ve chosen to do aren’t so tough to accomplish (except some few of them).
Also, if you accomplish job 100, you also accomplish job 89, so actually there are less than 100 jobs.
As a positive comment, I have to say that to make a list of some things to do before ou die it’s a good idea, but more important is that you actually try to do it (some people would do the list, but not try to acomplish it).

    karbon

  • hi.

  • I always wanted to be a cricketer when i was in my primary school, but due to financial instabilities,, i couldn’t join the coaching from school and then this came to mind that i wanted be connected eith the team in some or the other means. i thought of taking up physiotherapy so that i can be the team doc.. but my parents declined it. then once in college in 2004, team india was touring australia, and during the end of sessions in one of the test match, there was a phone-in program where in the great comentater Hasha Bhogle was to interact woth fans with questions regarding the team’s performance. i got lucky to have registerd my number. an australian called back and gave me indtructions as to how to speak. then finally they starting calling one by one. when my turn came to recieve the call, to my luck, they had dialled a wrong number and i was heartbroken.

    completion description

Then once during my college days in 2005-06, i had been to the stadium to watch the practise session on the eve of the match. i met the then doc of the team he had newly joined the team. he intracted with the bunch of people for about 5-10 mins, we were all takin his autograph and i was the last. i asked hom for his email address n he gave it to me.. that was when i thought i got lucky. i used to congratulate him wen the team won matches n he used to rearly reply. in the year 2007 dec 6th i ahd been to the stadium to watch the practise session prior to the test match from 7th. i met the team doc again n surprised he remembered me. he gave me tickets for the match. that was the 1st time i went to watch a match live. i ws overjoyed living my dream. today i interact with him regularly nad i m in touch with some of the cricketers from different states in India n be in touch with them. they have all achieved and m thankful to them that they reply to ma mails. they are all very humble nad kind people. they’ll make my country proud!! thank you all.
    please reply.

    hey guys

I don’t know if you guys speak french, but i will still write it. For more than 1 year i’ve been watching your videos with inspiration. You do what you can to make your life happyier, but also the people around you. Society needs a group of young people who are so passionate like you. On my website i have made a section for… (uhm not sure). I fell upon some videos including you guys and i said to myself that i should change my lifestyle. It gave me the confidence to commence an adventure in my life.

I hope very sincerely that you will accomplish your 100 goals. If you need someone to help out in the corner of montreal dont hesitate to ask “blinking smiley”

well sorry for missing parts and a butchered translation i did my best and good luck!

Just say you on the news. I think it was CBC, wasn’t paying much attention but then did and saw you guys.

Anyways, for some reason I can’t view the list and a some pics and whatnot on the site. It just shows me a little X thingy. Any idea why that might be?

Anyways, also just wanted to say that you really are inspiring, even to a 20 year old kid like me who still ‘has his whole life ahead of him’. There’s so much stuff I wana accomplish but don’t because of uncertainty/fear.

  • So, I found a vid on you tube, and decide to come here and comment on wha I personaly would love most to do before I die.I been living in my apt now for past 7 yrs and couldnt walk out the door, not cause I physicaly could’nt do it,but mentaly I have be under this crazy drak shadow of a depression, it will not allow me to go to my childrens school plays,or arward winning,I can not go to even do grocery’s or,local post office to grab my mail.I hate this ,it makes me soo very sad inside. My biggest wish would be to lose weight and afterwards go on a ship in middle of ocean and just screammmm ..Until all of my sorrows, guilt’s ect are gone. ..yes silly I know lol,but what my heart begs for.

Thankyou for spreading the good vibes! What a great help you are for many people! I started a list of my own some months ago, and today I discovered your site, thankyou for bringing it up again! I have some of your things on my list too. My number one is swimming with seacows, or matanees, whatever you call them. For that I will have to go to America, so it will take a while. But today i remembered: I WILL do it before I die.
Greetings & Good luck with your list!

  • Hey I know you guys probably have ideas for the charity you would want to donate to, but if you don’t, there’s always the American Cancer Society. It’s for a great cause, and it would really help all those people who have been affected by cancer, such as my family, and some of my best friends’. Just sayin.

  • Guys, your list is truely something…

I would love if you could help me out with something that is on both of our lists. It’s 98 on yours and number 1 on mine.

I would love to race horses in a actual race. Such as barrel race. My only problem is I don’t have the money to buy a horse that I could race with. It’s something that I have wanted to do snice I was a little girl, but I gave up hope that things would ever worked out money wise. We could help each other out on this one. It would make me so happy.

So if you will have me, I’d love to be a part of you four crossing off one of yours, as you would be a part of me crossing off my number one.

    Warmly,
    Charlie.

  • This idea is so great. I just saw your video on MTV, while I was watching Nitro Circus. I sit here in the smallest town in the world, where we only have a town pump as a fuggin town center and I’m counting the days till I graduate High School. I’ve been thinking about exactly what you doooodz are doing currently, because I know I don’t want to go to college right away. It just seems like a waste. But, again, I like this. Thanks for doing this guys. It shows the world that spontaneity is real and you can do anything if you set your mind to it. Don’t be afraid to stop by Ravanna, MO for some good ole’ fashion small town fun. ha

  • This is the most wonderful, inspiring thing I’ve seen in a long time. Finally an MTV show that is not just mindless, self-indulgent crap! I cannot wait for the premiere and have been telling all my friends about it. I can’t wait to be part of your adventure.

You guys are really doing something special and inspiring so many people to go out and live their life while they can – I hope you realize that! Good luck with all your efforts! You guys are truly awesome! :)

  • I started My bucket list when my father passed away. While helping care for him while he was actively dieing he and I talked allot. What he most was saying was the regrets for things he didn’t do in life. Seemed he put everyone ahead of his wants and needs. So after he passed away I made a list and have accomplished many of them and I am so happy I have,. The past 8 year, (I’m now 50 years old) have been nothing short of wonderful. Although before this I have been a stay home dad for 14 years , I was doing for everyone else in my life and not taking care of ME. Well I am now taking care of me and everyone involved are happy I am doing so. I have added more and more to my list and am sure I will keep doing so until my time comes to leave this earth. I have found the list doesn’t have to be impossible nor difficult, although Having a meal in with a family in Vietnam and swimming at the top of a mountain in Chongqing China at a place called HOT springs in January , it was great, it was 35 degrees outside and the water temp was about 140 degrees . What a wonderful experience and I loved the people. Understand, before I had never been over seas, I just listen to my dad and MY needs in life. To this day I am still checking things off my list and planning on walking the great wall of China this spring, it’s a gotta do.

  • Hey Guys
I think what you guys are doin is sooooo cool that it inspired me to make my own. Im a senior in high school and let me tell you that my life now is nothing like it was when I was a freshman. I realized that I am growing up and there is so much that I haven’t done. So what I decided to do was plan a getaway with my three best friends for one weekend. Then I saw a commercial for your show. I told my friends to make a list of things they wanted to do before graduation and we’re gunna do these things on our getawy. Hopefully this will be the best expirence of my life and I cant wait. Thanks for the Inspiration. I cant wait to watch the show. :D

  • Hey you guys.I love what you guys are doing.i cant wait for the show.but i live in hawaii and living on an island in the middle of an ocean can get pretty boring.so me and my friend decided to make a list of 100 things to do before we die(before we heard of you guys). We’re just 15 and we’ve got a long way to go.But i thought that it would be impossible to complete our list. You know, who would give two random girls the oppurtunity to go into space? So we were having some doubts about this, and still do.Just a little about the big things. But when i heard about you guys and what your doing,it inspired me again to continue on with the list.I also would like to say i love the idea you guys came up with about helping a stranger cross something off their list when you cross something off yours.I’m going to try do the same with my list when my adventure starts.I cant wait till your show comes out and i hope you guys finish your list.Good luck.

  • Hey guys! you are so inspiring, and yes, i’ll e-mail Ellen :P
I came across a list I had written a while back and it was so great to be able to cross things out :P My list is actually kind of similar to yours, and I find it so amazing that you’re actually going through with this! I’ll post some of my list.

It’s kind of dumb to most people most likely… But I think these types of things are something we should all think about.

Kiss a famous person, finish one of my stories and publish them, meet blink 182 – get a photo with Tom Delonge and ask him something(not going to write on the net), See blink 182 get back together & see them live(CROSSED august 7th 2009), learn to play a Synyster Gates (a7x) guitar solo, perform a major stunt, start a riot, form a band – win in a battle of the bands – play on stage atleast once, have one of the song i’ve written heard on the radio or tv, get a tattoo, run through a muddy rainy forest in a wedding dress, make a music video, get married and have 3 kids, build my mom her dream home by the lake, meet my friends from europe (mainly England and Germany), go on a euro-trip, walk the Hollywood walk of fame, smash a guitar on stage (also:P), crowed dive (almost crossed), record in a recording studio, see Angels & Airwaves live(CROSSED – feb. 21 2008). see +44 live, open a store and sell my own clothing brand, boycott against animal cruelty (almost crossed), be known for doing something to help change the world, organise a charity event, surf in California, learn to speak german (in the process.. soon to be crossed), open my dad his dream restaurant, go vegan, there’s so much more… Meet YOU GUYS! and, cross this list out.

Sorry for the length… :P I hope you guys cross everything out and I hope one day I can too.

  • Hi there!

I just wanted to say, as most people already have, I think that what you guys are doing is fantastic.

You’ve got to have balls of steel to just put yourself out there, and that is exactly what you’re doing.

I want to wish you all the very best of luck on your journey. I am going to make my list soon, and I know when I am 80 years old, having finally completed my list, I will look back and remember the four crazy guys who inspired me to do it. Thank you.

    Ash.

    Ashleigh

  • The one thing that i want to do before i kick the bucket is meet Torstein Horgmo. He’s My favorite snowboarder. I recently got surgerie but i want to snowboard but at the same time i cant because of my knee. i have always lived to make my dreams come true but people always stand in my way and tell me i cant. i also live to prove those people wrong.

    Rosa

  • I’ve accomplished a LOT of stuff on my list, although that may explain why im a regular at the local police station. haha still on my list though, are to swim in a bikini in the fountain in front of our shopping mall, start a huge food fight in our high school cafeteria (like in the movies), write a letter and tape it to a helium filled ballon with a return address and make a pen pal w.who ever responds, thank an entire group of enlisted uniformed men in the airport, have a song writted about me, go to the hospital just to hang out, and cheer up sick patients, Burst into a stranger’s wedding at the part where the minister asks if there are any objections, and yell yes (just to see what would happen because i’ve never actually seen it done before)

    Nikki

  • I’m TOTALLY taking this list. Well, not TAKING it, per se, just… using it for my personal contentment. lol.

You people ROCK. Like, SERIOUSLY. All of you have the same amount of rockiness, and that amount is epic.

I honestly can’t wait to watch the show. I’m going to do it now, in fact, so bye-bye!

P.S.: The one thing I want to do before I die is set a huge bon fire in front of my house, then light off a hundred and twelve fireworks simultaniously. (Okay, that’ll never happen, but whatever, right? Girl can dream.)

    Claire

  • Before I Die I would like to Make a Footprint in history.

  • Hey,
    Hi.Im Michael.
For me even though i am not kicking the bucket, i would deffinately like to provide for my family. The last couple of years have been harsh on the who family, we’ve been living under people and havent had money to do anything. My little brother arent able to experience thing that I did and it hurts me to see them miss out on so much. My mom has tried and tried to keep us all out of a depressed state and it has taken its toll. I would really like if you guys would do number 13 for us. I will help you to the bitter end .I just want my family to be happy again , its lost that feeling of togetherness . Please , Please help me make my family happy again .. Thank You.

Please. My dream is to send a article of clothing down the run way in a fashion show in New York, i know that doesnt seem like a very easy thing to do, but i would love the chance. Valerie

  • OMG I would love to be apart of the crew there are so many things I want to do before I die.

    Chris Johns

  • Hey guys, Good luck with the show. I was wondering what if the title was not what you would like to do before you die, but rather what would you want to do if you are dying, I am 35 and have been very sick with a Liver problem that came on out of the blue, I do know what I would love to do before I do die, Take my children to DisneyLand ( the one in Flordia). Thanks guys.

    Jody Albright

  • You guys are AMAZING!! The coolest people I’ve ever seen.

    Carmie

  • this is a sick list…i’m still working on #90 haha

    caroline

  • Hey guys. I think what you four are doing is totally amazing. You guys are so inspiring to me and so many people close to me. I’m really into living my life outside of the box, and doing what I want before the time is up. There are so many things I know I want to do before i die and I always think that there is no way I’m going to complete any of it. You four have shown me that there is hope to live my life the way I want to and to not be afraid of going out and doing things I want. Now the list keeps getting longer and longer for me and meeting you four is defiantly on it.
Good luck with everything. Thank you all.

    haley

  • Why don’t you think of what are you gonna do after you die?
where will go?? Is it heaven or hell??

Are you on the right track ??? or You still Don’t know things??

Life is a TRIP that may take YOU Hell oR Heaven…

where will you go?? and is your information about living life is the correct ones, or there others??

Is your religion is the way to heaven?? are you sure??
why ?? did you read about other religions and searched if you are right or wrong??

or did you accept your father’s and mother religion with out thinking where will it end with you??

It’s strange that most people accept what they are born with, even that they don’t know or don’t search for the Correct one.. Although its the most important as their (in heaven or hell) YOU WILL LIVE LONGER :)

I like Your Idea Sooo much,
    Best wishes

By the way , I am Muslim :)

    Good luck

    Samar

  • U guys are awesome!!you have inspired me and my friends to do the same. So far I have 18 things on the list. Try getting in ademolition derby! That’s one of the things on my list. And good luck with #100!

  • THIS LIST IS AMAZING! IT MADE ME THINK ABOUT WHAT I WANTED TO DO BEFORE I DIE( WHICH I STILL HAVENT FIGURED OUT YET) I THINK THAT WHAT YOU GUYS ARE TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH IS AWESOME AND OUTSIDE THE BOX, BECAUSE I HAVE HEARD OF PEOPLE SAYING THEY WANT TO ACCOMPLISH CERTAIN THINGS BEFORE THEY DIE BUT TO ACTUALLY DO IT IS AMAZING AND I COMMEND YOU GUYS FOR DOING THAT! YOU GUYS ROCK! MAKE SURE YOU GUYS COME TO FLORIDA!

    SAMANTHA

  • Come to Waterloo Ontario, CANADA!!
    you guys are an inspiration!

    Alicia :)

  • This is such a good idea! My friends and I always talk about doing something like this too, but we never really knew how to go about it. I’m glad you guys are finding a way to do it. It’s funny after you graduate High School it’s kind of a norm to go to college or go to work right away. It’s cool to see that you guys are mixing it up and doing something different. I feel like our lives are spent more on working and school rather than other things we truly enjoy, spent doing things in the office, instead of going out there and helping the people who need it most. I feel that life should be enjoyed while we’re LIVING.It’s hard to always Carpe Diem when you’re in class. I’m finishing my list of 100 soon, maybe I’ll finally grow some balls and do something like this too. Good Luck to you guys and if you’re in Cleveland,OH stop by and say Hey!

When I was a little girl it was my dream to be taken out on a traditional dinner date (Ya know, dinner, movie, dessert kind of thing). Growing up in a society that treats love like dish rags yet makes movies with desirable love stories makes it difficult to find a guy romantic enough to take you out on a planned date. Let’s cross off number #49 and complete my dream together :)

Its made me want to do a list of my own and go through with it. Before this, it was so easy getting discouraged with the thoughts like “thats impossible. It’ll never happen.” But after seeing you guys make things that seem impossible (ie. crashing the Playboy party) makes me want to try and do things that i want to do before my life ends. Life is too short. I hate growing up. haha. Anywho. I L O V E you guys. I really hope i get to meet you someday :) Oh! And Dave! i wanna learn a breakdance move :D
Anywho, I hope we keep hearing about you guys for a long time. And I hope you guys accomplish EVERYTHING on your list.

    Alyssa B.

  • After I graduated high school in spring of 2009, I decided that (in a few years) I wanted to be able to look back and see that I had done something cool – you know, the “when I was a kid, I…” stories – so I started making a list like this with silly things, like staying out all night without my parents, riding a motorcycle, flying a helicopter, doing the Polar Plunge. I think many people pay too much attention to the wrong things (such as technology, celebrities, etc.) and don’t get out enough, and I’m glad to see that this site is being used to set a good example for everyone. I think what you’re doing is really great. Best of luck to you guys; I hope you’re having a blast!

  • hey, to tell you the truth ive never even seen your show. I just heard about it hours ago and watched a youtube clip and thats about it. You say you want to write a book. yet on all this spare time of doing other things, you probably sit back in your RV and rest a lot. thats your time right there. your dream is my moms dream. Shes one of the hardest workers i’ve ever met in my life. She works in home health care for the elderly. She works 6 long days a week and is on call the other day. She’s miserable. We moved from north carolina to florida for my dads job which didn’t go as planned. My mom hangs out with nobody. She doesn’t have friends here and i feel horrible for her. She’s trying her best to lose weight and be happier. But she’s always had a dream to write a series of kids books. She has every story in her head and i’ve heard them a million times. Im only 16, but realize that i dont want to grow up and go to college and work for somebody else. I wanna pursue my moms dream with her and write children books. Her stories are truly amazing, a lot of people would read them, i promise you. My moms the most beautiful person inside and out to me. She means the world to me and i want to see her happy for once. She’s such a loving and giving person, she doesn’t have a single enemy but she doesn’t have a best friend either. I dont know who reads these posts, maybe its someone who works for you and would overlook most of these. But hopefully this gets to one of you four. my dream is to see my mom cry from happiness. 16 years have gone by for me and the fact that ive never seen that once, it breaks my heart. I live in fort myers florida, i dont know how far away from me you may be. but even if its a year from now. you guys could help complete her life, because if you completed her life she would do the same to others. She would use this as a way to raise money and help others. thats her life long dream, to be financially aided to help others. all im asking for now is an email back, please. even if its the fact that you cant come to florida, but help inspire me and set me in the right direction to help her. thankyou

    TBLv2: Time to Ketchum

  • Hey guys,

my name is katie brito. i know everybody here probably says something along the lines like “oh you guys will never read this” just to get you to read this. But this is legit. Back in july my grandparents were scammed by the grandparents scam. How does this work you might ask? well somebody calls an elderly person on the phone and pretends to be a grandchild of theirs asking them to wire money via moneygram to canada because they were supposidly in trouble and needed money. What the elderly person doesn’t know is that the money wont be picked up in canada but here in the states and its not their grandchild who is safe at home picking up the money. Im on my high school newspaper staff and i plan on writing a big expose on this, but i dont think that this will be enough. On average around 10% of the nations elderly people have been affected by this since 2005. All that has been done is warnings and such online, and that obviously hasn’t worked because every week more and more elderly people are getting scammed. The thing on my bucket list is to make a differance, not just for my grandparents, but for all grandparents across the globe

The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference which will begin at the United Nations in May is widely considered to be a make or break point for ending the spread of nuclear weapons.

On April 30-May 2, people will gather in NYC from around the world to call for Peace and Human Needs: Nuclear Disarmament Now!

An international conference is planned to bring US and international participants together for analysis and to plan for future actions for nuclear weapons abolition, peace, environmental sustainability, economic justice.

On Sunday, May 2, we will take to the streets for a march and rally in Midtown Manhattan.

  • Heyy I think that the list is really inspiring and has helped me to attempt at making one too. For building a house # 13 I have gone to Tijuana with my church to build houses for the poeple living in poverty and seeing the conditions that they lived in and how grateful they are for such a small house has helped me to appreaciate all that I have. Even though the houses we build are more like a room with two windows and a door they are so excited to have a place for themselves and family. I highly recommend doing something along these lines.

    Tiffany

  • Good luck with all of these! I love the show. Saw the PlayBoy one the other night. Dressing up as Oompa Loompas was a funny and great idea.

    On your list i’ve done… #’s: 2,4,7,13,16,17,23,29,37,38,40,58,72,75,82,90, and 96. (:

  • For #88: There is this place in Northeastern New Mexico. I’m sorry I don’t know exactly what it’s called.. I know of it as “the catwalks.” But I don’t think that’s the proper name. If it helps, it’s about an hour away from Alpine, Arizona. Anyway, it’s really pretty and has nice waterfall clifs to jump off of. (:
You should visit GLOBE, ARIZONA and do the block party one. It’d be amazing! But really if y’all come to ona for anything I’ll be soo revved up> :D :D
Love the show, y’all are amazing. (:

    Tianna Holder

  • You’re list is amazing, i am currently making my own and i might have to steal a couple of your ideas lol like telling a judge ”you want the truth? You can’t handle the truth!” seeing how i have to go to court in 4 days i just might do it haha, just wanted to let you guys know that what your doing is awesome and too keep it up, And 1 thing i would like to do before i die would to sell a piece of graffiti that i would paint for more than $10,000 and do donate it to my diabetes clinic, graffiti is the reason im going to court in the first place, so hopefully i can check that one of my list while helping out the diabetic community at the same time.

  • Hey guys!
We love what you are doing, its an amazing show!
We were reading your list and saw that we could help you with #67 and #76!
I (Emily) have my exchange partner Lauren here from South Africa for 2 months and I go there in the summer! We went dog sledding 2 weeks ago in Chocpaw, Ontario and it is the most amazing experience ever! The dogs are so cute and friendly. And surprisingly they are quite small! But they are very, very, very fast and strong. Another surprise is how sore we were the next morning! You don’t think it would be a lot of work, but it is in fact :P So we could always take you up there. Also we are at an all girls school who I’m sure would love to hear a speech about your outlook on life (600 people or so).
    Just let us know!
You guys are doing a great job!!!
    Congrats! =]

I am very pleased to see you help people to do what they want to do. :)

I am also pleased to see you do what you want. I believe that people should be happy, and do what they want. Provided that it is not harmful, of course.

That reminds me of how “buried” and dull my life is.

You are inspiring. Keep inspiring people. :)

  • HI, my name is Dennis. I am 28 years old and I have been unknowingly living my life like most people (that is, assuming that I always have tomorrow), until the early hours of January 21, 2010. I was in a terrible wreck sometime between midnight and 1 am. I was driving my fiancée’s 06 Scion tC in north Texas when I lost control on I-75. The car flipped multiple times and I was found 30 feet from the car. I had to be transported by helicopter to the hospital emergency room. I don’t remember much until waking up in the intensive care unit. Shortly after coming to and being told what happened, someone turned on the tv. I was already trying to figure how and especially WHY I made it through that alive and without any major injuries (though I was rather beaten up). A commercial for The Buried Life came on and really got inside my head. I was too medicated to actually catch the name of the show but the idea of a list of things to do before you die just really hit home to me at a time when I was searching for meaning. I made a mental note to figure out what that commercial was for.

A few days later, I was released from the hospital and just happened to see the episode of Ellen with the crew on. I was re-invigorated with that feeling of being alive for a reason. I have since been making my own list. It is just freaky that I saw this when I first awoke in ICU.

I just wanted to write and say thank you for how you have effected my life. I don’t know how I hadn’t already heard of the show and crew, but it made it to me at the most life-changing point of my life. If you’re ever near north Dallas maybe I could help you guys with your list.

    Thank you so much,

  • im 27 yrs old and im just like you guys man, im down to earth and like to help people out in this strange and crazy world. My goal before i die was to get too full tattoo sleeves, just finished them not to long ago, im sure you guys will have no problem finishing your list, i do have one other thing that i would like to accomplish before leaving earth, it is that ive helped out so many people in my life, helped homeless, helped people find god, helped with donations, helped with relationships and advice, but im always the one that finishes last, i just want one person to do something great for me one day before i pass, anything for me, so i can say that i experienced the best gift of all, a miracle. thats one thing that i dont think i will ever experience before i die! if i did experience that, that would be my one and only wish and my only thing on my list.

Before I die I would love to do something to help my mom out. She is a single mother who manages to pay for eveything for my twin sister and I. • HI GUYS. I just want to say a little something about what your doing, I think it’s amazing! I’m currently in the seventh grade at middle school in Madison CT. when i was in fifth grade, I decided I wasn’t “living” life. Me and a friend of mine started a list, unfortunately he didn’t quite find it as adventurous as I did…I lost him at #6. But I have continued our list. I know this doesn’t mean much, but if you ever come up this way send me an email. I could probably get you a place to stay besides your bus for a little while and maybe even some grub to. I may be young but I have plenty of connections, my next store neighbor is a dialect coach and has worked with many people on broadway and in the show biz like Ugly Betty and many more ABC shows. He might be able to help with #6. Coming from me it probably doesn’t mean much especially if you don’t even read these but I figured it would be worth a try because I truly wish I was doing what you guys are. I’m so happy for you guys and wish you luck on your travels! Hope i hear from ya :)

  • Hey. I’ve seen your show once before I watched tonight’s episode, which was a re-run episode of when you met Meghan Fox and helped the girl ride the rollercoaster. It was great watching the little girl ride the rollercoaster, especially one that has your legs dangle. I hate heights, but I’m ok on rollercoasters when I feel safe. I love what you all are doing. Especially when you cross of something on someone else’s list.

I made a list of 101 things to do before I die, called “The Big 101″ inspired by the movie The Bucket List and it was an assignment in my Intro the Majors 10th grade class. I included a lot of things sports related and short term. Some of them I have no possibility of doing. Like meet Lou Holtz or the US soccer team. I think I’ve been inspired by you all to make another list, with realistic things I can do. Including the things I’ve accomplished and some that I still can do. Thank you. Congrats on touching so many lives. :)

    Glen Smithberger

  • Hey guys! Wow I’ve been watching your show and it’s really pushed me to do something for change. I’ve decided that anything IS possible and along with the help of MY friends we made a list of things we want to do during this summer. I’d show you the list but its really long haha. If you’re interested in it I would be more than happy to send it to you though! I just don’t wanna make this page longer than it is. But #50 happens to be “Meet The Buried Life crew” I live in Colorado and to cross of #50 I’m going to need YOUR help this time. My friends and I are so inspired by you guys. I want to know how you guys do it. I’m out to do it as well :) . Plus, who wouldn’t want to meet a group of korean kids? haha just kidding. anyways keep on doing what you guys are doing! God bless you guys! respond if you guys could! :D

I know that if I ever had the chance to do half the things on your list, I would chicken out– which is something I really hate about myself.

The only time I can really let loose and not care, is if I’m with some of my best friends, so I have to say, I’m extremely jealous of all you. (:

  • Hey! I just wanted to let you know how inspiring ya’ll are to me. It was always a dream of mine to open up my own business. I was given the opportunity at 17 years old to open my own clothing store. Three years ago I made this decision and never looked back.
I was contacting you guys because I would like to help. I participated and designed a wall mural in a local home for disabled children. I would love to help in anyway I can.
    Thanks for the inspiration!

    Ashley

  • I’ve already jumped once, and have a rain check for a 15K feet skydive with video. If you want to come to Atlanta, GA I could help you with that. Ya’ll could go with me and we could jump together.

Thanks to your show; I’ve started my own “bucket list”. Right now I only have 24 things on it and keep it on this website; http://www.my50.com. Go check it out. Anyone else can create and keep their bucket list there as well.

Contact me if you want to skydive together.

    Angela

  • Hey guys. I love your show. You guys are the coolest group of guys i’ve seen in a long time. I love what you guys are doing, and I hope you guys keep it up. I’m not an emotional person at all, and I think people who cry at TV shows are weird. You guys made me cry. Thanks for making myself look like a wuss, haha. I’ve e-mailed Ellen about…20 times? Asking her to have you guys on her show, thats just my way of helping contribute to your list. (:

What I want to do before I die, would have to be…swim with sharks.

Jonnie, Dave, Duncan, & Ben, keep doing what your doing.

    Aniya

  • What I would like to know is… What can I do for you?

I live in Colorado and my mom skydives at least once a week…I did it on my 18th birthday. It was the coolest thing in the world. There’s no words to describe it. Why skydive any where else when you can skydive in Colorado?!?! :)

I love the show, and it would be amazing to meet you guys!

    Morgan

  • Hi,
I’d like to help with number 16.
About 3 years my family and I moved into a new house about 7 states away from where I lived for 13 years. We moved onto a great street and into a great house. Without knowing it, we moved into the house of the man that started having block parties 25 years ago, twice a year. And it has been a tradition for that long. My next door neighbor is 78 and she has lived here for 19 years and gone to 19 out of the 25.
Even though you wouldn’t be starting the block party you would be in the house of the man who did. Also, since it has been going on for 25 years it is quite boring… that’s were you guys would come in. I imagine if four guys with cameras come it would be a much more lively experience. I’ve gone to about 6 since I’ve lived here and they are very unentertaining. I would love it if you guys would come and make our block party better.
    PS I emailed Ellen.
PSS. I live 40 mintues away from D.C. a good waay to meet the President!

    Kathleen
