As some of you may know, #79 on our list is ‘Dance with Ellen DeGeneres‘. In the past few days we’ve received quite a few emails from people saying, “I just emailed Ellen!” (hoot hoot!)

Thank you Gaël! That’s far from insignificant, that’s a huge help! Hi-5’s to all of you who have taken time to email Ellen to let her know about The Buried Life. We figure it’s just a matter of time before her inbox actually explodes from all your emails and she’s calling us for a dance-off on her show.

The response to Jimmy’s plea has been overwhelming and extremely touching. Thank you everyone for your notes, it’s been amazing to see a such rally of support from people all over the world. We told you we’d let you know when Jimmy got back to us and he has, twice.

I read all the responces and i want to say THANK YOU. i do suffer from mental illness and i relise there is only so much i can do. but reading all the responces sheds light into the darkness and relise there are others who suffer from anxity and low self esteam as i do. one day at a time, and thows days help when u got people who make u feel not so alone. One thing i am doing now is teling my self that life is my friend instead of my enemy. the buried life’s crew are also a great inspiration to look at WHAT I WANT in life. i thank to many of us know what we dont want, but cant seem to find what we do and thank we cant affored to do what we want or have disabiltys that keep us from doing it. as much as i have issues dealing with this….im wiling to help others and vice versa. here is my email for anyone who wants to talk to help or needs help. We’ve been getting a lot of emails asking about TBL and where it/we came from. If you haven’t already seen it you can check out the Timeline page - which charts some of the project’s evolution - and scroll back through the blog to see news from our first days and most exciting adventures (like crashing this years MTV Music Video Awards). We’ve been asked why and how we started this (most of which is answered on our F.A.Q. page) and “How the heck did you guys get money to do this?” You can also expect to see all these questions answered Q&A style in the next couple days.

Also - big ups to Peter (15) in Malta (Europe). He’s moving back to Tallahassee, Florida this summer and says TBL “inspired me to go after the girl i like and at least get a kiss from her before i leave Malta.” Yeahhh! I hope we all get to hear what happens. Let us know Peter!
Ben checking in from across the globe, here’s the story: My friend sent me a message last week asking if I wanted to go to Nicaragua to surf. “Yeah right!” I have no money, in fact I owe more money than I have to my name. Then I remembered that #92 on the list is Learn to Surf… shoot.
I decided to just check out the price of flights and stumbled upon a cheap one to Nicaragua. Then I ‘forgot’ to renew the insurance on my car, borrowed $300 from a friend and bought a ticket on Monday which left the following Saturday. With little money, less Spanish and no guide book I took off with my friend to Nicaragua for a 2 week adventure.
Now I’m in Nicaragua getting crushed by the biggest waves I’ve ever seen and grateful that I didn’t pass this up (regardless if I’m car-less when I return, I still have my rollerblades, right?)
I’m only able to pick up a slow internet connection, so I’ll post some of the adventures in a day or two… here are a few pics for now:

And now a question for you: many people throw around the phrase “Life is Short.” Is that true?
I’ve only got 21 years under belt but it seems to me that when you stop and think about the all the seconds, hours and weeks that you’ve experienced in your lifetime - all the scraped knees, dinners with friends, kisses with ‘lovers’ etc - life is actually pretty long. Maybe not all of it is perfect, but it is long. What do you think?
Second question (equally important): why do men have nipples?
We just got word that a group of students at our old high school (Dave says big ups to Oak Bay High!!) are trying to power two of their classrooms completely with solar energy. It’s ambitious (cost = $30,000), environmentally conscious (solar = clean), and in our opinion, super cool. If you wanna help, contribute, or learn more - you can read about it HERE. The kids won themselves free tickets to TwoFest, a cool concert promoting environmental action on the west coast.

im not sure if u will ever get this message, but if u do….i live with many dreams but becase of fincial hold backs and mostly LOW SELF ESTEAM i need someone to help me atian my dreams. i suffer from anxity everday and if you could help me bust out of the hell im in and into life itself… YES this is a cry out for help. yes i have hope and faith …but i just need help.
